Not to be confused with Tom Cruise in Top Gun.
Once upon a time, on an island in the Philippines, a little boy named Maverick dreamt of becoming an astronaut. Little did he know that space travel is not as easy as strapping a cardboard box to your back. Sorry, kid.
At the age of 8, he gets on a plane almost as if it was his birthright. He flew halfway around the world to the fabled island of leprechauns. But to his disappointment, he soon learned that they were only a myth.
Distraught at all of these revelations, little Maverick went on a soul searching adventure into the meaning of life. It wasn’t until he wasn’t so little anymore that he discovered his love for design.
He went on to do his Bachelor’s in Product Design, where he won awards for IndePen. Here, he experienced the impact design could have on individual users. This led him to pursue a Master’s in Interaction Design.
Grown up Maverick did well in keeping his sanity together during the Master's and now enjoys a career in product design and still continues to pursue it. But something is missing. He doesn't know what. Maybe it's Goose. Maybe it's the thrill of flying again. Maybe it's still the meaning of life.
